Will these over pruned conifers regrow from the remaining green shoots?

Conifer trees were harshly pruned about 2 months ago, there are still some green branches, will they continue to grow and eventually cover the brown? Is there any thing that could be done to help. Many thanks

It is likely to grow back from the green shoots, but not likely to grow from the brown areas. It depends upon the variety of conifer, but from what I can tell, the brown may remain that way for quite some time.
