Q.Will the foliage and/or flower of the Calla Lily grow all year indoors?

Zone 4 | astitchintime added on July 4, 2012 | Answered

I planted two Calla Lily bulbs (mid March 2012) in containers indoors, in a portable, well accommodated apartment size greenhouse. They are growing so nicely and I love them so much. I wanted to know if the foliage and/or flower will continue to grow all year if I keep them indoors? IF NOT, how long do I have?

They normally go into dormancy in the winter, but ones that are in containers can be forced into dormancy anytime. They may need more water and light to avoid going into dormancy, or you can just let them go and then enjoy another round of blooms indoors later in the year.
