This was about a month ago. We discovered all bags of them have bloated upend bags are about to pop. Will these still be safe to eat?

They should be just fine. They were attempting to still "breathe" as most things will if not flash frozen or cooked first. This is ethylene gas and small amounts of oxygen. As long as they do not smell spoiled then cooking them will be safe.
