Will My Monkshood Come Back Next Year?

My Monkshood patch was broke totally down to about one inch of leafless stem on Memorial day from hail storm. It has not regrown. Will it comeback next year.

I suspect it will come back next spring if it was an established patch. Without leaves, it is not able to manufacture food. As long as the roots survive, though, it should come back. You may still see some new growth before winter. Here is more about monkshood:
