Will My English Butteryfly Bush Die?

I pruned my bush this morning then gave it some plant foot. Now there is some type of bug boring holes in the branches where I cut. What can I put on the branches to stop them?

It is not recommended that you seal the cuts as this can trap disease in the cuts. I would treat the plant with neem oil. Because they are boring into the plant, a normal pesticide will not reach all of them as the plant’s exterior will protect them. Neem oil is absorbed by the plant and actually runs through the plant’s system on the inside, which means that it can reach all the pests boring into your plant.
