Will Crushed Red Pepper Deter Ants But Not Ladybugs?

I’m trying to kill aphids with ladybugs but ants keep taking over. Trying to keep ladybugs and get rid of ants.

The ants are feeding on the aphid's honeydew, so ants will try to protect the aphids. I would think the red pepper would repel the ladybugs, too. Here are more ideas:
