Will Blue Eyed Grass Handle The Very High Humidity Of Southern Virginia In July And August?

I have tried sever vvarieties of blue fescue (in a full sun area), and they do well until July/August when they turn brown and are dead by late August. I am told they cannot handle the high humidity of Williamsburg in the summer. Am looking for a replacement?

It should do fine, then, because it is dormant during the summer. However, it still needs occasional water if you go through a drought period.
