Q.Will Beneficial Nematodes Harm Honey Bees?

Zone 48818 | Anonymous added on July 28, 2026 | Answered

Hello, I read your article about using Beneficial Nematodes to control pests such as Japanese beetles. We have honey bees on our property and I want to make sure they will be safe if i were to use the Nematodes. Any thoughts on this would be very helpful! Thank you

If your bees are honey bees they won't be in the ground where the nematodes are. Solitary bees may nest in the ground, but this article says the "microbial products do not directly affect beneficial insects."
