Q.Will Baking Soda Kill My Garden

Zone Amarillo Texas 79110 | sharon3275 added on June 20, 2020 | Answered

I sprayed my plants with baking soda because something was eating them and I read that baking soda naturally gets rid of fungus and insects. Shortly after I sprayed them the plants started wilting bad. Will they survive?

You don't say what the concentration was but baking soda is generally safe to use on plants when diluted in a 1 tsp per gallon concentration, for example. Any stronger and you risk leaf burn.

I would water your plants well, foliage too, which might remove some residue.
