Q.Will A Japanese Maple Tree Be Happy And Thrive In Zones 9A & 9B?

Wld like to plant row of Japanese maples inground, full sun, well drained area. Summers are hot, humid winters generally very mild,short. Also considering two for container plants on front porch. Any thoughts, advice suggestions appreciated.Wanting the color pop, if these wont be happy here, suggestions welcome for something else! Thank you in advance. Bammy, Kinder, La 70648
