How deep the hole for wild dogwood tree?

Planting wild dogwoods is no different than nursery grown types. A dogwood should be planted about two-thirds the depth of its root ball, gently mounding the soil around the sides. Do not place the soil directly over the top of the root ball, as this should be left slightly above ground level.
