Why The Top Of My Tree Doesn’t Look Like It Is Coming Back To Life??

Have had these royal empress trees for about 10 yrs now the tops of 2 seem dead and all 6 trees on property seem to have very small leaves this year. Any suggestions??

You can have the dead wood removed. It could be an insect or disease problem. Sunscald is a major problem with these trees. Regarding the leaves, it is normal for the leaves to get smaller as the tree ages. These articles should help:
