Why did the ends of my prayer plant turn brown?

This is either a water issue or a humidity issue. make sure the plant is getting enough water with the proper drainage. Check for issues that may hurt its ability to take water up, like root rot (https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/disease/treating-root-rot-gardening-tips-for-housplants.htm [1]). Water only when the top of the soil is dry to the touch but do not let the soil dry out completely.

You can add some extra humidity around the plant by setting it on a pebble tray.
