Why Tabasco peppers become brown and dry before becoming ripe?

I suppose it’s either or both these reasons:
1) Check your soil pH levels, 6.0 – 7.0 is best for these spicy monsters.
2) Your soil must have phosphorus, potassium, and calcium. Minimize nitrogen by adding sawdust, wood chips, or barks, or any wood product into the soil.
Mostly it’s a nutrition value from the soil that’s preventing it to fully grow ripe. However, go ahead and harvest the unripened ones to encourage the plant to grow more fruitfully hot peppers.
