Why Or How Does A Maple Now Became A Mulberry Tree?

I had a beautiful Maple tree which it now has changed to a Mulberry tree. All the leaves are now Mulberry leaves. No Maple leaves anywhere to be seen? This tree has three areas bleeding sap from it, just like a Mulberry tree does How does this happen? Thank you

Mulberry trees seedlings and seeds are everywhere. Likely the maple died and the mulberry seedling grew.
