Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comFishtail palm came from nursery and had to be dug up. This palm is about 10′ tall. The nursery kept the tree for a week before I moved it to the new location. It has been about three days since I planted it. It is in the ground with about two inches of the roots showing above the ground. I have a moat around the roots. Water it twice a day filling up the moat and letting it soak in.

This can most likely be attributed to transplant shock, which is common in new plantings. This article will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/environmental/learn-how-to-avoid-and-repair-transplant-shock-in-plants.htm [1]
Also, you say you water daily and have a moat-like bowl around the tree. This can actually cause water to sit in the area resulting in root rot or other fungal problems. I would first suggest that you mound some soil up around the tree so the water isn’t just pooling up around it.
