Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comMy plants are huge, 5 times bigger than years past, but we didn’t have a cool spring either. My cauliflower has not developed florets/or a “head yet.” I live in eastern Washington and I have sand and compost mixed together that they are growing in. However, all I have is 8 huge plants and nothing else. Did I do something wrong? I should mention all my cabbage is growing in the same soil and are just about ready to harvest, each head weighs close to 10 lbs! Will the cauliflower produce or should I pull the plants out and put them in the compost pile?
Thank you for time.

A common reason for lack of heads forming on plants is too much nitrogen.
Cauliflower are also sensitive to temperatures.
Even watering is also key.
Soil ph should be neutral or slightly alkaline.
