Why is our tulip poplar tree dropping leaves?

It’s mid-August and the largest of our tulip poplar trees is already dropping lots of leaves. What should we do?

Environmental stress can cause leave drop. Dry conditions or over watering.

Also Tulip Poplar is vulnerable to a couple of disease.
