Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comanything surrounding my olive tree is speckled with a sticky sap type substance and it’s building up on the leaves and branches, to the point that it’s forming sap stalagmites in some places. Why is it doing this? Can I get it to stop? Can I wipe down the tree or would that cause more harm than good?
Thank you,
Baylee

You will have to include some detailed photos of the damage. Many times this is insect damage, but it could be a fungal/bacterial issue as well as a few other things that can cause this.
