Q.Why Is My Indoor Sugarcane Not Growing?

Zone 84003 | Anonymous added on January 17, 2023 | Answered

I planted my sugarcane about 8 months ago. It grew pretty well outside but when I moved it in the house for the winter it has not grown at all. I pruned it back and got ride of most shots and fertilized it. I water it Daily with 2 cups of water. What do I need to do?

Let it take a break while indoors for the winter. The reduced light and change in environment likely slowed its growth. While indoors it doesn't need as much water or you risk root rot. Reduce fertilizer as well. Then in the spring when you return it outdoors it can flourish.
