Why Is My Gerber Daisy Sticky and Have Tiny Seed/Egg-Like Things on It?

I’m in Wisconsin, so I usually bring my potted Gerber daisy inside for the winter. This year I put it in the window where it still got very warm and sunny when it was cool outside. When I went to water it, I noticed that the leaves had gotten very sticky and there are little tiny seed or egg-like things all over the top and bottoms of the leaves and flowers. It doesn’t look like anything is eating at it and the leaves are very green and healthy looking. Is this the plant’s way of dropping little seeds from the flowers or are they bugs that found somewhere to lay eggs? How can iget rid of them?

It sounds like you have aphids. This pest appear as small round objects and they secrete a substance called honeydew, which makes the plant sticky and appear to be dripping sap. This article should help:
