Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comPlanted last year in Myrtle Beach SC. It came thru winter nice and healthy and even bloomed for the first time a few weeks ago.It also seemed to tolerate 100 degree heat really well and then a week ago the beautiful fronds started falling off and branches started to die back.I see new branches starting to grow.

This would be hard to say without a few photos. Did you receive wet weather recently? It could be fungal/bacterial but photos can help me to confirm that.
