why is my bougainvillea losing its leaves

It has been fine but just started to drop leaves and look sorry for itself.

I would look to a watering issue. Make sure that it is getting enough water. If it is in the ground, make sure the water is getting deep enough. If it is in a container, make sure you are watering daily.

It may also be either a fungus or a pest. As a precaution, treat the plant with neem oil to take care of both these issues.
