Zone 29511 | Eckert626 added on June 2, 2021 | Answered

My guava tree had tons of flowers this year and was excited because I knew I would be getting guava. Then after all the flowers bloomed the flowers started to fall off which I know that is normal, but then the stems the flowers where on started to fall off! What’s going on? Am I losing my potential guavas? What can I do to stop it? Help!

Yes, and I am seeing signs of infection, as well. Make sure to let the soil dry out down to about 2 or 3 inches between watering, thoroughly. You will, also, want to treat with a fungicide. Make sure that the tree receives full sun, or if it can't, then you may need to install a horticultural lamp of 200 watts or greater to give the tree enough light to bear fruit.
