Why doesn’t my aromatic aster bloom?

Symphyotrichum oblongifolius plant is healthy and growing, but it has never bloomed. It is several years old, receives full sun and regular watering. Planted next to bugle weed (which is monitored for invasiveness) and two bell flowers, which are all healthy and bloom appropriately. Zone 3/4, Buffalo, Wyoming. thank you.

It's possible they're being over-fed. Also, be sure if you pinch them back to reduce height, stop by early summer.
