Why does our tree blossom in winter?

One of our trees (not sure what type) blossoms every winter, as well as at other points in the year. Can anyone explain why?

I cannot, clearly, see the flower structure, so I couldn’t tell you exactly what that tree is. My best guess would either be a type of apple or plum, whether ornamental or edible.

I’m not certain as to the climate of your country, but this is usually the cause. Fruit trees, whether bearing or non require very distinct seasons. If the area in which you reside has an unpredictable climate, or changes from warm to cold within weeks or days, then this is the cause. The stress that this causes will shorten the life of a tree, but there is no fix for this. The answer will be to choose a tree for the climate when planting.
