Q.Why Does It Appear That My Blueberries Still Have Pistils Attached? It’s Even Though They’re Ripe?

I am getting berries and they’re ripening but they still have what looks to be to blossom pistol attached.

I have done extensive research on this and can't find any sources that discuss this phenomenon. It could be a weather-related issue. Just pull the pistils out as you wash the berries. Here is more about blueberries:
