Q.Why do the figs on my tree never ripen

Zone Berkshire, England | lizzieoaks added on September 9, 2012 | Answered

I have had my fig tree for 6 – 7 years. The first year I got ripe figs from it but ever since the fruits stay small, hard and green. They do not ripen nor fall off the tree and even in winter they remain shrivelled on the branch.
