Q.Yellow Squash Turn Brown and Fall Off
Why do my yellow squash turn brown and fall off? My other squash look fine. I water deeply twice-three times a week if no rain. They have plenty of organic veggie food. I have also given them calcium – eggshells, lime, calcium tabs. All my squash are getting the same nutrients but the yellows are turning brown and falling off. Sometimes they make it to about 3-4 inches long. I have zucchini and various other squash that are growing fine. I have never had this problem before. Could it be the plants that I purchased? This is a pollination issue. If the plants are not properly pollinated, the plant will abort them when they are a few inches long because the fruit will not grow seeds, which is the main goal of the plant. These articles will help you:
