Why do my red bell peppers have soft spots?

I have a plant with about 4 bell peppers growing on it. The two largest peppers are just turning red. But, the largest pepper is turning soft and the second largest has soft spots on it. What is causing this?

It sounds like you may have blossom end rot causing the soft spots. This will help with that: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/vegetables/pepper/pepper-blossom-end-rot.htm ^[1]
