Q.Why do my healthy zucchini plants die?

Zone 5 | dboth added on July 7, 2012 | Answered

They come up and grow real nice and bear fruit, then all of a sudden dry up and die. The roots are yellow and mushy. I cannot find what’s killing the plants.

They may have had vine borers. This article can help you with that: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/vegetables/zucchini/vine-borers-zucchini.htm
