Q.Why Do My Flower Beds Have So Much Moss
Someone said it occurs from too much watering. Is there anything I can supplement the soil with to prevent moss growth

Moss grows in damp, shady areas that may have compacted soil and/or a low pH. If your garden soil is compacted or clayey, adding compost to the soil will help break it up. Increasing the sunlight to the area will help by trimming overhanging tree branches. If the plants you are growing need shade, provide dappled shade and decrease the amount of water added. Using mulch on the soil will help, too. Using a hoe to scrape it off your gardens is easy to do because moss does not have roots. Here is more:
