Why Do My Cucumbers Die

Anonymous added on May 18, 2011 | Answered

I have many flowers with small cucumbers. But when the female flower dries up, the little cucumber shrivels and falls off also.   Why, and what can I do about it? I do not have a single growing cucumber on the vines, but plenty of male and female flowers.

This is typically caused by a pollination issue. These articles will help:

https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/melons/hand-pollinating-melons.htm (melons and cucumbers are hand pollinated the same way.)
