Q.Why do my apricot trees not produce fruit?

Zone Carlsbad, New Mexico south-eastern New Mexico | CharlesG added on May 30, 2014 | Answered

I have one tree that I purchased from Walmart over 10 years ago. It never produced fruit, so I brought a young transplant from a very good producing tree and planted it within 10ft of the other about 6 years ago. They are both giants now, but no fruit. Actually, I got three from the transplant a couple years ago. I water them year around with the washing machine drain. Help!

This article suggests some potential sources of your trees' problems: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/apricots/apricot-tree-not-fruiting.htm
For further analysis, you can take some soil and leaf samples to the local Extension Office, where they might be able to pinpoint the cause. This link will help you locate the nearest one: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/extension-search/
