This depends on the type of palm, and the environment. Unfortunately, leaf curling has pretty broad range of causes. Under/overwatering, overfeeding, disease, low humidity, high humidity, insect issues, low and high temperature, and many other issues can cause curling depending on the plant type and the environment in which it resides.
