Q.Why Do Bees Fold Over And Seal Apple Tree Leaves?
Over the past few days at least twenty leaves on my apple tree have been folded and sealed by bees. I have watched as the bees land on either the upper or lower side of a leaf, spend several minutes doing something, which I am presuming is laying eggs (but maybe I am wrong), and then proceed to fold the leaf over and seal it.

I did some research on this and couldn't find any reference to bees engaging in this activity. Try contacting your local agriculture school or garden center and see if they can shed some light on this interesting behavior.
