Q.Why Didn’t My Andromeda Bloom This Spring

Zone Middletown, RI | ngrosner added on April 11, 2023 | Answered

It had all the red blooms as usual in the Fall. But we had a severe cold snap (minus 8 degrees F) for 2 days in January 2023. Ciuld this have caused it not to bloom now? The leaves look fine. There is what appears to be new growth.

They are, quite, particular about the pH and nutrient content of the soil. I would test these parameters and adjust as necessary. Keep the soil, slightly, acidic and the soil nutrition high.
