Q.Why Aren’t My Cucumbers Vining?

I started Chicago pickling cucumbers about 4 weeks before transplanting them into my garden. They did well in terms of hardening off but they’ve had a few pests munching on them. I think I have those under control, but one of my plants has a couple baby cucumbers forming and the other has the same and a couple of flowers. However, neither have really grown that big or started vining/climbing my trellis at all. I’m worried that they’re stunted. is this normal for this variety of cucumber? I have another variety that is climbing just fine

They are stunted. Often pests, and even treatment will stunt cucumber plants, as well as any stress at all.

Care for them as usual, and you may yield, at least, something from them.
