Q.Why Are You Giving Information About How To Remove Tree Lichen?
Lichen is an important part of our ecosystem which is currently being destroyed in large part by human activity. As you have pointed out, they do not do any damage to trees and suggest that the reason people want to remove it is because they find it unsightly. I’m sorry, but I don’t believe this is an acceptable reason and I think that you should discourage people and point out the advantages of lichen instead. Incidentally, I and many other people, find them astonishingly beautiful.

We do point out several times in the article that the lichens pose no harm and there is no need to remove them. We also point out that if the treatments are not done correctly, they could harm the tree.
