Why are there new green shoots and buds growing in the centre of the flowers on my rose bush

My sister in Suffolk sent me some cuttings from a rose bush that has been in the garden of our family home since I was a very small child ( I am now 65 ).
I live in Bude in Cornwall.
One of the cuttings has grown to around 3 feet high and is covered in buds. It is in a pot on my patio. It is regularly watered and has had some Miracle Grow fertiliser.
The rose flowers are small, no more than 2 inches and some are smaller. They are a very pale pink in colour.
I noticed that one of the flowers had a green stalk growing in the centre. As it grew more it had new flower buds on it….all coming from the middle of the flower.
Now almost every rose that opens has new buds growing in it’s centre.
I have never seen this before in a rose. or any other flower.
I am sending some pictures.
I would like to know what might be the cause of this, and am hoping you can help.
