Brown Avocado Leaves

Why are the leaves on my avocado tree (planted 3 months ago) turning brown? Avocado tree purchased from local “big box” store, in good condition, but with a few leaves having brown (dry) edges. Now, many leaves have the same brown/dry edges. Watered 3 times a week and fertilized (with avocado fertilizer) oncea month. Most leaves affected are old, but some of the new ones are also affected.

If they have brown edges, then the tree is not getting enough water. Newly planted trees need LOTS of water to establish well. You almost cannot overwater them the first year or so (but you don’t want them to be in standing water) Increase water to the tree and this should help.
