Q.Why Are Sparrows Eating The Leaves Of My Calibrachoa?
Last year the sparrows ate all the aging flowers off my calibrachoa at about this time of year (autumn) they then proceeded to completely strip the leaves off so that the plant looked like a dead twig? . I cut it back and it has flowered again this year. Now I see them starting on this years leaves. Why do the sparrows do this? If I left the deluded plant would it comeback in spring?

Likely, they would come back. They may not ever be full and happy like that, though. Birds do this to build their nests, and they need to be deterred. This article will help:
