Why Are Some Of My Amaryllis Only Producing Leaves?

I have 10 amaryllis bulbs that I have had for about 5 yrs. I put them in the semi dark for 2 or 3 mos, then bring them upstairs indoors. This year only 2 of the 10 bulbs have a bud, the rest only leaves.

Did the buds come up before the leaves on the two? When resprouting amaryllis, often the buds will not emerge till after the leaves come up. So they may still bloom. If not, it could be they didn't receive enough fertilizer or light. Here is more:
