Why Are My Tomato Plants Not Setting Fruit?

I planted my plants two months ago and they have grown, but it’s mostly foliage. Some flowers have come out, but I have not seen any fruit set. Another gardener told me that I was to shake the plants when they started flowering for fruit set, and I did that, but I don’t see anything? Any suggestions?
