Q.why are my plants drying up

Zone east coast | teresabeauchesne added on July 5, 2012 | Answered

Some of my plants, peppers, cukes and squash, are drying up, slowly. I am wondering if it’s the soil? The tomatoes, green beans and peas are fine.

The water may not be penetrating deep enough in the soil. If you have mulched the beds, occasionally mulch can start to repel water. Dig down a bit and make sure that the water is penetrating as it should.
