Anonymous added on May 15, 2014 | Answered

Why are my strawberries and melons not sweet? I have organic and well drained soil and the area gets sun at least 8 hours a day.

I would have the soil tested, as this most likely is caused by something lacking in the soil. The pH level may not be acidic enough either. This article will help with your strawberries (and can also be applied for your melons too): https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/strawberry/sweet-strawberries.htm Here is more info for growing these fruits: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/melons/growing-melons.htm, https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/strawberry/growing-strawberry-plants.htm
