Why are my mango seedling’s leaves so brown

I planted a Julie mango seed in a pot and within 5 or 6 days, it sprouted. In this picture it’s a little over a week old. However, since it’s sprouted, it’s leaves r this brown color and nearly another week has passed and they’re still the same color and also a bit droopier. I tried placing it in the sun for a few more hours, but haven’t seen any improvement. Is this normal? Is the pot just cramming it’s root since it’s only about 7 inches deep?

Make sure you have not overwatered. Soil should be moist but never soggy. Make sure the container has adequate drainage.
