Why are my limes filled with a numerous amount of seeds?

I have a lime tree but the limes are not edible. It produces limes with very little flesh inside, and it is filled with an abnormal amount of seeds. They also have a strong foul oder. I want to know what is wrong and how to fix it. Thank you.

Well I have to say these look quite unusual. How long have you had this plant, and has it borne normal fruit in the past? If it’s a new tree, it just looks to me like the kind of fruit you might see from growing a tree from seed in a grocery store fruit. If it’s a tree that you purchased recently (within the last year or two) you might even be able to return it to the nursery. If it’s a tree that you’ve had for awhile, it could be a cultural or disease problem. I would recommend your taking some samples to the county extension service to see what they might make of it.
