Some varieties of figs do have slightly velvety immature fruit. If you have seen this tree fruit before and it did not have fuzz before, then it is a fungus. A fungicide will help clear it up. Some pruning of small and weak branches will also help with increasing airflow, which will help reduce the chances of it returning.
