Q.Why Are My Birds Of Paradise Blooms Looking Like This? Is This Normal Or Must I Take Action?

never noticed this problem in past years and seems like plant is trying to bloom but ants and others not allowing it to.

It looks like aphids have moved in. They produce a sticky substance called honeydew that attracts ants. You can spray with water first to remove as much as possible. Then spray with an insecticidal soap or Neem oil.
